Tanzania T-bill auction, 19 June 2013: 364-day at 14.77%, up 26 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 19 June 2013, the Bank of Tanzania cleared the 91-day bill at 11.82% (down 9 basis points), the 182-day bill at 13.98% (up 1 basis point) and the 364-day bill at 14.77% (up 26 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of successful bids.
The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled TZS 108.6bn against TZS 130.0bn on offer, 84% of the amount sought, and TZS 89.6bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 13.11% to 15.23%.
