Tanzania T-bill auction, 3 July 2013: 364-day at 14.86%, up 10 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 3 July 2013, the Bank of Tanzania cleared the 91-day bill at 12.04% (up 22 basis points), the 182-day bill at 13.95% (down 3 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 14.86% (up 10 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of successful bids.
The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled TZS 99.1bn against TZS 130.0bn on offer, 76% of the amount sought, and TZS 96.1bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 13.11% to 15.23%.
