Tanzania T-bill auction, 5 June 2013: 364-day at 14.51%, up 26 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 5 June 2013, the Bank of Tanzania cleared the 91-day bill at 11.91% (unchanged), the 182-day bill at 13.97% (up 5 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 14.51% (up 26 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of successful bids.
The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled TZS 127.6bn against TZS 130.0bn on offer, 98% of the amount sought, and TZS 127.5bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 13.11% to 15.23%.
