Tanzania T-bill auction, 22 May 2013: 364-day at 14.25%, down 1 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 22 May 2013, the Bank of Tanzania cleared the 91-day bill at 11.90% (down 9 basis points), the 182-day bill at 13.92% (down 10 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 14.25% (down 1 basis point). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of successful bids.
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled TZS 168.8bn against TZS 130.0bn on offer, 130% of the amount sought, and TZS 155.7bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 13.11% to 15.23%.
