Tanzania T-bill auction, 8 May 2013: 364-day at 14.26%, down 2 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 8 May 2013, the Bank of Tanzania cleared the 91-day bill at 11.99% (up 20 basis points), the 182-day bill at 14.01% (up 2 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 14.26% (down 2 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of successful bids.
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled TZS 193.5bn against TZS 130.0bn on offer, 149% of the amount sought, and TZS 141.1bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 13.11% to 15.23%.
