Tanzania T-bill auction, 24 April 2013: 364-day at 14.28%, up 21 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 24 April 2013, the Bank of Tanzania cleared the 91-day bill at 11.80% (up 12 basis points), the 182-day bill at 13.99% (unchanged) and the 364-day bill at 14.28% (up 21 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of successful bids.
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled TZS 186.1bn against TZS 130.0bn on offer, 143% of the amount sought, and TZS 112.0bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 13.11% to 15.23%.
