Tanzania T-bill auction, 10 April 2013: 364-day at 14.07%, up 43 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 10 April 2013, the Bank of Tanzania cleared the 91-day bill at 11.67% (up 17 basis points), the 182-day bill at 13.99% (up 76 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 14.07% (up 43 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of successful bids.
The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled TZS 101.5bn against TZS 130.0bn on offer, 78% of the amount sought, and TZS 93.8bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 13.11% to 15.23%.
