Tanzania T-bill auction, 27 March 2013: 364-day at 13.64%, down 3 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 27 March 2013, the Bank of Tanzania cleared the 91-day bill at 11.51% (down 13 basis points), the 182-day bill at 13.23% (up 9 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 13.64% (down 3 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of successful bids.
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled TZS 130.9bn against TZS 130.0bn on offer, 101% of the amount sought, and TZS 130.9bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 13.11% to 15.23%.
