Tanzania T-bill auction, 21 November 2012: 364-day at 13.43%, up 24 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 21 November 2012, the Bank of Tanzania cleared the 91-day bill at 11.76% (down 17 basis points), the 182-day bill at 12.86% (unchanged) and the 364-day bill at 13.43% (up 24 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of successful bids.
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled TZS 177.2bn against TZS 125.0bn on offer, 142% of the amount sought, and TZS 147.9bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 13.11% to 13.76%.
