Tanzania T-bill auction, 7 November 2012: 364-day at 13.18%, down 22 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 7 November 2012, the Bank of Tanzania cleared the 91-day bill at 11.93% (down 5 basis points), the 182-day bill at 12.86% (down 27 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 13.18% (down 22 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of successful bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled TZS 205.3bn against TZS 125.0bn on offer, 164% of the amount sought, and TZS 150.2bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 13.11% to 13.76%.
