Tanzania T-bill auction, 26 September 2012: 364-day at 13.76%, up 65 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 26 September 2012, the Bank of Tanzania cleared the 91-day bill at 12.45% (up 37 basis points), the 182-day bill at 13.01% (up 18 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 13.76% (up 65 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of successful bids.
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled TZS 145.4bn against TZS 105.0bn on offer, 139% of the amount sought, and TZS 105.0bn was accepted.
