Mozambique T-bill auction, 12 October 2016: 91-day at 19.29%, up 134 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 12 October 2016, the Banco de Moçambique cleared the 91-day bill at 19.29% (up 134 basis points) and the 182-day bill at 20.81% (up 225 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average subscription rate.
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled MZN 12.7bn against MZN 11.3bn on offer, 113% of the amount sought, and MZN 11.3bn was accepted.
At 19.29%, the 91-day rate is the highest in the 13 auctions of the past year.
