Mozambique T-bill auction, 2 November 2016: 182-day at 22.60%, up 179 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 2 November 2016, the Banco de Moçambique cleared the 182-day bill at 22.60% (up 179 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average subscription rate.
The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled MZN 80m against MZN 4.0bn on offer, 2% of the amount sought, and MZN 80m was accepted.
At 22.60%, the 182-day rate is the highest in the 21 auctions of the past year.
