Egypt T-bill auction, 11 August 2026: 364-day at 25.07%, unchanged
At the Treasury bill auction dated 11 August 2026, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 24.63% (down 12 basis points), the 182-day bill at 25.86% (down 5 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 25.07% (unchanged). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 403.0bn against EGP 160.0bn on offer, 252% of the amount sought, and EGP 189.5bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 22.78% to 26.08%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 26.13%, so the government is paying 106 basis points less than twelve months ago.
