Egypt T-bill auction, 30 December 2025: 364-day at 24.73%, down 54 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 30 December 2025, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 25.46% (down 24 basis points), the 182-day bill at 25.57% (down 28 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 24.73% (down 54 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 397.5bn against EGP 110.0bn on offer, 361% of the amount sought, and EGP 180.9bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 24.45% to 26.19%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 26.24%, so the government is paying 151 basis points less than twelve months ago.
