Egypt T-bill auction, 23 December 2025: 364-day at 25.27%, down 15 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 23 December 2025, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 25.70% (down 56 basis points), the 182-day bill at 25.85% (down 52 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 25.27% (down 15 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 471.9bn against EGP 110.0bn on offer, 429% of the amount sought, and EGP 212.7bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 24.45% to 26.23%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 26.24%, so the government is paying 97 basis points less than twelve months ago.
