Egypt T-bill auction, 7 October 2025: 364-day at 25.67%, down 18 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 7 October 2025, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 26.52% (down 74 basis points), the 182-day bill at 26.72% (down 10 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 25.67% (down 18 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 404.5bn against EGP 128.0bn on offer, 316% of the amount sought, and EGP 163.5bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 24.45% to 26.24%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 26.24%, so the government is paying 57 basis points less than twelve months ago.
