Egypt T-bill auction, 14 October 2025: 364-day at 25.44%, down 23 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 14 October 2025, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 26.66% (up 14 basis points), the 182-day bill at 26.48% (down 24 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 25.44% (down 23 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 288.0bn against EGP 130.0bn on offer, 222% of the amount sought, and EGP 179.8bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 24.45% to 26.24%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 26.24%, so the government is paying 80 basis points less than twelve months ago.
