Egypt T-bill auction, 30 September 2025: 364-day at 25.85%, up 10 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 30 September 2025, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 27.26% (up 16 basis points), the 182-day bill at 26.83% (up 16 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 25.85% (up 10 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 268.7bn against EGP 105.0bn on offer, 256% of the amount sought, and EGP 149.5bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 24.45% to 26.24%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 26.22%, so the government is paying 37 basis points less than twelve months ago.
