Egypt T-bill auction, 23 September 2025: 364-day at 25.75%, up 4 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 23 September 2025, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 27.09% (up 18 basis points), the 182-day bill at 26.66% (up 10 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 25.75% (up 4 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 247.5bn against EGP 110.0bn on offer, 225% of the amount sought, and EGP 121.5bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 24.45% to 26.24%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 26.24%, so the government is paying 50 basis points less than twelve months ago.
