Egypt T-bill auction, 16 September 2025: 364-day at 25.70%, down 11 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 16 September 2025, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 26.91% (down 7 basis points), the 182-day bill at 26.57% (down 20 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 25.70% (down 11 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 341.4bn against EGP 105.0bn on offer, 325% of the amount sought, and EGP 227.5bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 24.45% to 26.24%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 26.25%, so the government is paying 54 basis points less than twelve months ago.
