Egypt T-bill auction, 5 April 2005: 364-day at 10.97%, down 10 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 5 April 2005, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 182-day bill at 10.56% (down 20 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 10.97% (down 10 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 6.3bn against EGP 2.0bn on offer, 315% of the amount sought, and EGP 2.0bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 9.53% to 12.39%.
