Egypt T-bill auction, 29 March 2005: 364-day at 11.07%, up 41 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 29 March 2005, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 182-day bill at 10.76% (up 27 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 11.07% (up 41 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 5.8bn against EGP 3.0bn on offer, 193% of the amount sought, and EGP 3.0bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 9.53% to 12.39%.
