Egypt T-bill auction, 8 March 2005: 364-day at 10.33%, up 54 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 8 March 2005, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 182-day bill at 10.17% (up 29 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 10.33% (up 54 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled EGP 4.6bn against EGP 3.2bn on offer, 144% of the amount sought, and EGP 2.2bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 9.53% to 12.39%.
