Egypt T-bill auction, 1 March 2005: 364-day at 9.79%, up 27 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 1 March 2005, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 182-day bill at 9.88% (up 76 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 9.79% (up 27 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled EGP 4.0bn against EGP 3.5bn on offer, 114% of the amount sought, and EGP 3.5bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 9.53% to 12.39%.
