Egypt T-bill auction, 15 February 2005: 364-day at 9.66%, down 28 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 15 February 2005, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 182-day bill at 9.14% (down 17 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 9.66% (down 28 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 4.6bn against EGP 1.9bn on offer, 243% of the amount sought, and EGP 1.9bn was accepted.
At 9.66%, the 364-day rate is the lowest in the 22 auctions of the past year.
