At the Treasury bill auction dated 22 September 2026, the Banco de Moçambique cleared the 91-day bill at 12.05% (unchanged). The rate shown is the weighted average subscription rate.
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled MZN 1.3bn against MZN 1.3bn on offer, 100% of the amount sought, and MZN 1.0bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 91-day rate has ranged from 11.75% to 12.35%.
A year earlier the 91-day bill cleared at 11.80%, so the government is paying 25 basis points more than twelve months ago.
