Mozambique T-bill auction, 21 September 2026: 91-day at 12.05%, down 14 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 21 September 2026, the Banco de Moçambique cleared the 91-day bill at 12.05% (down 14 basis points) and the 182-day bill at 12.17% (unchanged). The rate shown is the weighted average subscription rate.
The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled MZN 3.0bn against MZN 3.1bn on offer, 97% of the amount sought, and MZN 3.0bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 91-day rate has ranged from 11.75% to 12.35%.
A year earlier the 91-day bill cleared at 11.80%, so the government is paying 25 basis points more than twelve months ago.
