Mozambique T-bill auction, 8 June 2016: 91-day at 12.13%, up 36 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 8 June 2016, the Banco de Moçambique cleared the 91-day bill at 12.13% (up 36 basis points) and the 182-day bill at 12.53% (down 9 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average subscription rate.
The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled MZN 2.5bn against MZN 3.0bn on offer, 82% of the amount sought, and MZN 2.4bn was accepted.
At 12.13%, the 91-day rate is the highest in the 7 auctions of the past year.
