Mozambique T-bill auction, 6 April 2016: 364-day at 11.30%, up 20 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 6 April 2016, the Banco de Moçambique cleared the 182-day bill at 10.84% (up 9 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 11.30% (up 20 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average subscription rate.
The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled MZN 2.9bn against MZN 4.0bn on offer, 73% of the amount sought, and MZN 2.5bn was accepted.
At 11.30%, the 364-day rate is the highest in the 5 auctions of the past year.
