Mozambique T-bill auction, 9 March 2016: 91-day at 10.26%, up 126 bps

At the Treasury bill auction dated 9 March 2016, the Banco de Moçambique cleared the 91-day bill at 10.26% (up 126 basis points) and the 182-day bill at 10.81% (up 67 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average subscription rate.

The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled MZN 3.8bn against MZN 5.2bn on offer, 72% of the amount sought, and MZN 3.8bn was accepted.
