At the Treasury bill auction dated 17 November 2015, the Reserve Bank of Malawi cleared the 364-day bill at 22.69% (up 54 basis points). The rate shown is the average yield of allotted bids.

Bids totalled MWK 982m and MWK 982m was accepted, 100% of what was bid.

Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 20.83% to 26.99%.

A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 20.50%, so the government is paying 219 basis points more than twelve months ago.
