Egypt T-bill auction, 15 September 2026: 364-day at 25.27%, up 16 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 15 September 2026, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 24.55% (up 22 basis points), the 182-day bill at 25.66% (up 13 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 25.27% (up 16 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 365.9bn against EGP 155.0bn on offer, 236% of the amount sought, and EGP 158.4bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 22.78% to 25.85%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 25.81%, so the government is paying 54 basis points less than twelve months ago.
