Egypt T-bill auction, 28 July 2026: 364-day at 25.00%, up 2 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 28 July 2026, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 24.73% (unchanged), the 182-day bill at 25.74% (up 28 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 25.00% (up 2 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 321.4bn against EGP 160.0bn on offer, 201% of the amount sought, and EGP 164.9bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 22.78% to 26.19%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 25.59%, so the government is paying 59 basis points less than twelve months ago.
