Egypt T-bill auction, 30 June 2026: 364-day at 24.70%, up 19 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 30 June 2026, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 24.14% (up 45 basis points), the 182-day bill at 24.86% (up 18 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 24.70% (up 19 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 240.6bn against EGP 110.0bn on offer, 219% of the amount sought, and EGP 147.6bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 22.78% to 26.19%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 25.23%, so the government is paying 53 basis points less than twelve months ago.
