Egypt T-bill auction, 16 June 2026: 364-day at 24.59%, up 9 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 16 June 2026, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 24.15% (down 31 basis points), the 182-day bill at 25.66% (up 24 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 24.59% (up 9 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 317.9bn against EGP 110.0bn on offer, 289% of the amount sought, and EGP 192.7bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 22.78% to 26.19%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 25.24%, so the government is paying 65 basis points less than twelve months ago.
