Egypt T-bill auction, 26 May 2026: 364-day at 24.47%, up 1 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 26 May 2026, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 24.03% (down 11 basis points), the 182-day bill at 25.07% (up 21 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 24.47% (up 1 basis point). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled EGP 156.8bn against EGP 105.0bn on offer, 149% of the amount sought, and EGP 61.1bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 22.78% to 26.19%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 24.83%, so the government is paying 36 basis points less than twelve months ago.
