Egypt T-bill auction, 17 February 2026: 364-day at 22.93%, down 53 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 17 February 2026, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 23.65% (down 53 basis points), the 182-day bill at 23.95% (down 46 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 22.93% (down 53 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 374.8bn against EGP 115.0bn on offer, 326% of the amount sought, and EGP 148.8bn was accepted.
At 22.93%, the 364-day rate is the lowest in the 52 auctions of the past year.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 25.41%, so the government is paying 248 basis points less than twelve months ago.
