Egypt T-bill auction, 2 December 2025: 364-day at 25.42%, unchanged
At the Treasury bill auction dated 2 December 2025, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 26.48% (up 5 basis points), the 182-day bill at 26.39% (unchanged) and the 364-day bill at 25.42% (unchanged). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 273.9bn against EGP 115.0bn on offer, 238% of the amount sought, and EGP 115.0bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 24.45% to 26.24%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 26.24%, so the government is paying 82 basis points less than twelve months ago.
