Egypt T-bill auction, 24 June 2025: 364-day at 25.23%, up 1 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 24 June 2025, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 29.11% (up 49 basis points), the 182-day bill at 28.27% (up 79 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 25.23% (up 1 basis point). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 272.2bn against EGP 125.0bn on offer, 218% of the amount sought, and EGP 53.5bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 24.45% to 26.25%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 25.94%, so the government is paying 71 basis points less than twelve months ago.
