Egypt T-bill auction, 10 June 2025: 364-day at 25.24%, up 11 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 10 June 2025, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 27.89% (down 3 basis points), the 182-day bill at 27.37% (up 19 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 25.24% (up 11 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 250.6bn against EGP 105.0bn on offer, 239% of the amount sought, and EGP 84.8bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 24.45% to 26.25%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 25.92%, so the government is paying 69 basis points less than twelve months ago.
