Egypt T-bill auction, 11 January 2005: 364-day at 10.68%, down 12 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 11 January 2005, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 182-day bill at 9.93% (down 9 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 10.68% (down 12 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 9.1bn against EGP 4.4bn on offer, 206% of the amount sought, and EGP 4.4bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 10.47% to 12.39%.
