At the Treasury bill auction dated 19 October 2004, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 364-day bill at 12.00% (down 8 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 1.8bn against EGP 1.0bn on offer, 178% of the amount sought, and EGP 1.0bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 10.47% to 12.39%.
