Egypt T-bill auction, 5 October 2004: 364-day at 12.08%, up 21 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 5 October 2004, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 10.73% (unchanged), the 182-day bill at 11.04% (down 7 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 12.08% (up 21 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 3.9bn against EGP 2.5bn on offer, 155% of the amount sought, and EGP 1.7bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 10.47% to 12.39%.
