Egypt T-bill auction, 6 July 2004: 364-day at 11.67%, up 94 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 6 July 2004, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 11.03% (down 25 basis points), the 182-day bill at 11.08% (down 22 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 11.67% (up 94 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 4.6bn against EGP 2.0bn on offer, 229% of the amount sought, and EGP 2.0bn was accepted.
