Egypt T-bill auction, 26 June 2003: 91-day at 10.27%, up 11 bps

At the Treasury bill auction dated 26 June 2003, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 10.27% (up 11 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.

The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled EGP 1.4bn against EGP 1.9bn on offer, 72% of the amount sought, and EGP 1.4bn was accepted.

Over the past year the 91-day rate has ranged from 4.60% to 13.59%.
