Egypt T-bill auction, 19 June 2003: 91-day at 10.16%, down 2 bps

At the Treasury bill auction dated 19 June 2003, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 10.16% (down 2 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.

The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled EGP 1.6bn against EGP 1.6bn on offer, 97% of the amount sought, and EGP 1.5bn was accepted.

Over the past year the 91-day rate has ranged from 4.60% to 13.59%.
