Egypt T-bill auction, 10 April 2003: 91-day at 12.75%, down 84 bps

At the Treasury bill auction dated 10 April 2003, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 12.75% (down 84 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.

The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled EGP 2.0bn against EGP 1.4bn on offer, 145% of the amount sought, and EGP 1.5bn was accepted.

Over the past year the 91-day rate has ranged from 4.60% to 13.59%.
