Egypt T-bill auction, 27 February 2003: 91-day at 7.50%, down 77 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 27 February 2003, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 7.50% (down 77 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 4.2bn against EGP 1.8bn on offer, 234% of the amount sought, and EGP 2.5bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 91-day rate has ranged from 4.60% to 8.68%.
