Egypt T-bill auction, 25 February 2003: 182-day at 7.84%, down 66 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 25 February 2003, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 182-day bill at 7.84% (down 66 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 3.4bn against EGP 850m on offer, 402% of the amount sought, and EGP 1.9bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 182-day rate has ranged from 5.24% to 8.57%.
